What is the service?

Vinny's Education Coalition has partnered with an application service provider called Everyone.Net to give any visitor that wants one a 100% free email account, with a you@southsucks.com address. The email accounts are paid for by advertising from Everyone.Net's partners, which appears in the web-based interface of the email accounts. Unfortunately, the service also uses popup ads; however, they can be removed for a small annual fee, payable to Everyone.Net (for more info on this, please sign up for an email account and you will see links to upgrade your service to an ad-free status). Each email user is given 6MB of storage space, address book, folders and more. While not everyone will be best suited by this service, we feel it is the best email partner available for us.

How are addresses assigned?

You pick whatever name you want...most names are still available (we only have about 300 users so far, while Yahoo! Mail has over 10 million addresses, meaning your name is more likely to be available with us than with them). But to be sure, snap your name up now! Addresses are available at no charge on a first-come, first-served basis.

Will I be spammed?

No. While Everyone.Net does attempt to get you to register for various marketing mailings, you are not required to register for them. Simply uncheck the sign-me-up boxes prior to submitting the registration form.

What about privacy?

We have read the Everyone.Net privacy policies and Terms of Service and have not found anything too offensive in them, however, we do recommend that those of you who are especially concerned about privacy read them thoroughly yourself, just like you should with any such agreement. Those policies are provided to you by Everyone.Net before the establishment of your account.

Is there anything else I should know?

The only other thing we want to emphasize is that you should log into your email account at least once every 30 days, because if you leave your account unused for over 30 days, Everyone.Net, like most other free email operators, assumes you are no longer using the account and will delete your mail to save disk space.
